Tien S techs
I just got a set of chrome 18's put on today. I went to a local shop near my house and he said I would be fine with the S tech's. I am sitting on 225/40/R18. that would be fine correct? and he quoted me $400 for everything including allignment. Is that good or should I look else where?
I ordered my s techs couple of days ago. Called my local shop and they told me $125 to instal the springs. And you should wait two weeks after they settle to get an alignment. Last time I got an alignment I only paid $35.
Go somewhere else. They are trying to jack you. lol.

I called my Scion dealer for a quote to install Tein H-Techs, they told me $600 and would take 6-7hours...lol. I then called the garage down the street where I often get oil changes and they quoted me $510 =p
I wouldn't spend more than 200 on a spring install.
Key is to find a good mechanic who knows what the hell he is doing, not some big garage who is just going to rip you off and do a half assed job, the yellow book is a good place to start.

^ Damn whats with all these crazy prices.
I paid $125 for my stechs to get installed.
It took me forever to find a place to do my alignment cus my car is so low, but when I did it ran be about $40.

If its 400 for the Springs, install, and alignment then thats....ok.
I paid 165 shipped for the springs, and 200 for install. And 35 isn't too bad on the alignment. I didn't get the BEST deal. But 400 for all of it, if including the springs, isn't bad.
Definitely wait about 2 weeks to a month after the install to do the alignment though.

i did my springs myself in my parents shop... find someone with a spring compressor and a band saw, jack the car up take the whole assembly off and compress the spring, pull it apart cut the bump stop in half and put the new stuff in, took me 2 hours to complete my car, mostly due to the rear taking all the dang interior out to get to the bolts lol
if you need a s-tech.i have one for sell.its already settle since it been on the TC for 3 months already.selling it for 100.email me at i240sx@hotmail.com if your interested.
