Tightening front strut?
Does anyone know how to tighten the front struts or strut towers? I'm getting a popping/clunking sound when going over minor bumps and from doing a lot of reading it sounds to me like my strut may be loose (?) do I just tighten the three bolts in the engine bay? or is there something else I need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
i'm pretty sure you need to pop off the plastic cover between the wipers and the hood - but once you're under there you need to check one more bolt. in the middle of the three bolts you see, there'll be on more. use a box wrench to tighten the nut, and hold the bolt with a screw driver or vise grips.
there's a more technical write up on this as well - i'll try and find it since this was on my radar to find today as well.
