Tightening topmount of coilover (h&r)
ok so the front driver side makes a clicking noise, whenever i give the car gas, while moving... if im parked or stopped and have the clutch in, and rev there is no click.. but the moment i start to move i hear like 2 metal clicks, then it stops.. but most likely i hear these little clicks while letting off the clutch and giving it gas ?? ive been reading posts that say to tighten the top mount of the coilover? is that on the top? side? where? pics please anyone... noise is driving me nuts
ok definately nothing on the suspension or boots, rods, etc. i just had it in for an inspection and told the mechanic to look at all possible areas and everything looked great and bolts were tight.. he said it might be some play from the aftermarket wheel? but it never sounded like that so im thinking it could be a bad lugs?
Its very hard to diagnose sounds over the internet.
If the car was at the mechanics and he couldnt find the problem within the suspension he should have taken the car for a drive with you or let you drive while he rode along, while trying to replicate the sound so it could be pointed out to him and he had a starting point.

I dont get how you can have play from an aftermarket wheels.
Check to make sure the wheels are balanced properly.
If you are not running hub centric rings and the hub bore of the wheels is anything diff than the OEM bore, get them.
Make sure lug nuts are seated properly and torqued to spec.
Make sure wheels are not bent or damaged in any way.

after you are done with the center bolt.... If I were you I would take the time to make sure the struts are all done correctly and re-check everything.. someone else posted the their bolt from their caliper felt off on the hwy while driving... that freaking sucks... dont want to be that person that say ____... I should have rechecked everything... while you are in the tow truckk... just my 2 cents... worth your time..
