Trd Brake Pads
its about time for new brake pads, and im looking for something slightly better then stock, i almost never drive my tc to the limit, and likewise never push my brakes to the limit
ive been looking at TRD pads and noticed that TRDsparks has two pads
TRD sport brake pads
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...1&parts_id=650
and
TRD high performance front brake pads
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...1&parts_id=715
now i looked for regular toyota pads at my local dealer, and they were 49 + tax, so i automatically asume that the 43 dollar trd pads are one hell of a deal
so does anyone have experience with TRD pads?
and maybe TRD sparks hopefully reads this and chimes in the differences in the two TRD pads

Not many... no. A lot of Axxis users, Hawk is popular too.
If you don't push it at all... just get some OEM ones again. They don't dust or squeal and work fine for every day use. PM trdsparks to see what their price would be on the OEM ones.

well, thats what im saying, the first TRD pads on the link up top are acctually cheaper then OEM pads at the dealership?
or maybe Sparks made a mistake and those are acctually oem pads?
ill try to contact them

I had some TRDs for a while. They were great at first, but after about 6-8 months seem to have lost some of their initial bite. I can be kind of hard on brakes, but the TRDs never saw any track-day stuff just DD and autox. Mine had little to no noise or dusting compared to stock pads. The new TRDs are a different compound than the ones I had, so they may act a little better over the long haul.
The Hawk HPS+ that I have now have been amazing. Autox, DD, and track-day and still going strong. Worth the $$$ to know you'll have something left to slow you down lap after lap from 100+mph.

The Hawk HPS + will dust and squeek worse than the TRD, but I can't say that I would trust the TRD for track punishment.
I guess it all depends on what side effects (dust and noise) you are willing to put up with. I'm ok with some noise and dust knowing that I'll get worry free braking at the track.

so can anyone fill me in on exactly how much more dust(over stock pads) trds, hawks, axxis pads produce?
it seems that they all say "alot less dust" this and that
so are they lying, honestly, i would really prefer a pad that is equal to OEM braking ability, with a lot less dust!
