Default TRD Lowering Springs question

Does the price include installation? some people say yes, some say no

also, are they worth it for the price?
ive seen the h tech and they look nice, but i only want a moderate drop with a nice drive at a reasonable price
thanks everyone

what price did they quote you?
Are you getting only the springs or also the shocks?

I'm pretty sure they are going to add a least 400 bucks to have them installed and aligned. Just find a local shop that will do it for 100-150 and then just go get an alignment...

as for which is better between the TRD and H-tech springs, it depends on your preference. the h-techs will drop the front end significantly more than the rear. the TRDs end up making the car sit very level front to back. i'm very happy with my h-techs. i think either one will be an improvement over stock and ride nicely.

i had trd struts/white springs and one side sat lower, than the other. If youre dealer said that it included installation, then go for it.

Would Hotchkins work?

Cause TRDsparks is selling them for $189? I know it's reduce tire tread wear but is it important to do it ASAP? or can I wait for Summer-late Spring?

Cause I learned HUGE lesson with tire rotating from my Toyota tech and I'm planning on doing alot of rotations even if it's going to be waste. I may spend some $$$ on summer wheels and tires. I do want my tires to last so I can use them again for October-late December if I do get new wheels.

It depends on what they quoted you. I called around for an install and was quoted anywhere between $400 and $600. No freakin way I'm paying that! Went to the hobby shop on base and my husband put them on, balanced and rotated the tires all for $70. Thats the way to go. I say DIY. Not that complicated at all.

thats what im wondering. i have heard of a few cases of TRD springs settling out to be WAY more than 1.25 inches. i think mine have settled to more like over 1.5

however i do have 18s w/ a 35 offset and i dont rub.

erm... i wouldnt have the dealer install them... get some friends and get spring compressors and find someone with an impact wrench... or like they all stated go get a local automotive place or try to get a hook up... but anything is better than the springs. they claim they take an hour and a half to install mine at the dealer... which is more expensvie than the part itself. but expect around 3 hours or so because its a pain taking the rear ones off... gotta rip out the whole trunk

the thing is that I had 500+ pound in the back and that was the first time the car rubbed. Ever since then when I take small dips or small bumps even if at a very low speed i rub.
