no, the gap above the top of the tire.... driver side there is a .5" gap, pass side there is a 1-1.25" gap.
Ok lets try this another way. Is wheel gap in the rear even side to side? and is the passenger side even with the rears? Is the front driver side the only corner of the car that is lower?
hey stealthscion, i went through a bunch of suspension posts on scionlife before... i remember a lot of people saying that their drivers side was lower than their passenger side... so since so many were talking about it, i'm not sure if the height difference is really abnormal... some were saying it's because we always sit on the drivers side seat, whereas the passenger side is most of the time not occupied... mine is even right now, but then again i don't drive it much... and i just got my front end installed last week so not enough time...
josh, i'm not sure if that sounds right and if anybody ever came to your dealership asking about it...
as for the noise, sorry but i'm not much help

Before you come out here and get an attitude try answer the question that are asked.

case in point.
yes that is a strut. because the spring is housed between the two perches/mounting plates.
that is NOT what is on the rear of the tc. the rear of the tc just has shocks and springs. the bottom of the spring rests on the shock perch, the top of the spring makes direct contact with the chassic at the top mount of the shock tower.
struts are involved in steering as well. shocks just move up and down. (shouldn't u know this is u work at sparks?)
spring over shock = Coilover
