Default TRD Shock and Sway Bar... DIY?

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a suspension upgrade come next pay check. trdsparks.com is offering a good deal on a TRD lowering spring + TRD rear sway bar combo which is hard to pass up.

My tC is a daily freeway driver, with 90+ miles per day. So it wouldnt make since to put something like hotchkis springs and sway on there since I am not perofrmance racing or anything. I just want a lower ride with increased handling and rigidity. The TRD springs aren't too drastic of a drop which gives my shocks more longevity, and the sway bar isn't too agressive either. But both give me the handling increase I tihnk I am looking for.

Anyhow, is installing the TRD springs and rear sway a do-it-yourself project? I know I will need a spring compressor and jack stands. How difficult will it be? I have my fair share of wrenching, but nothing big like this.

Thanks.

About 4 hours of your time for the whole job. Nothing too complicated. As always, air tools help.

I'm waiting for a friend to come back before I attempt springs / shocks, but the TRD sway bar is definately a no-brainer DIY. I installed mine today and only needed a torque wrench. I used a lift, which made things easy.
