Default TRD spring question

TRD springs are stiffer than stock springs, which means it won't be as bouncy right?

Which also means better handling over stock?

thx..

Well I don't mind the drop that much cause I'm aggressive and especially here in OC to me imo trd is ok. As long its less bouncy than the stock spring I think I'm ok with it..

Don't need to cut bump stop etc for trd spring right?

no sir you don't, when you remove the stock springs you'll see how much room that the bump stop has to move. you'll have plenty of room with the trd ones.

To me they're more bouncy than stock. Stock is soft and absorbs bumps so I didn't feel them as much, after TRD it bounces on everything. Now the TRDs do make the bouncing stop quicker than stock, so I guess maybe that's what you mean by "less bouncy"?

As for improved handling, yes, TRD is much better than stock for performance driving.

I cut the bumps stops on mine. Also I don't think it is bouncy, if you have never drove a lowered car them you might think it is bouncy, it is just stiffer so you feel the bumps.

Do you mind posting the link for the instruction?

I haven't heard about cutting bump stop on TRD's..just Tein's....even so some people still didn't cut their bump stop on Teins..what exactly do the bump stop do lol

and ya I get what you mean by stiff* it makes it more of a tighter* ride so its not all soft and stuff

They lower the car about 1.25" all they way around, it might be alittle bit lower.

That showed cutting bump stop for trd struts due to its shorter strut length

I'm using oem struts -.-

I cut mine just like that and have had no negative effects and I am on stock struts. All it means is you wont bottom out as much. Just do what you want too.

They are more "bouncy" than stock. But that's what you get when you switch to a higher rate (stiffer) spring.

And there's no need to cut bump stops when you use TRD springs. You'll never bottom out with those springs... If you use an aftermarket shock/strut with TRD springs then you should cut the bump stops, but if you're just using stock shock/struts then no.

I agree with that, regardless of any source that might indicate otherwise, FWIW.
