Default TRD Springs and shocks installed! *PICS*

Very happy with this set. Just the right amount of drop without having to angle up driveways or worry about scraping.
Ride quality feels very close to stock, yet is flatter around corners.
enjoy!

Looks Awesome man!! Im going to get TRD Springs soon, I was thinking about shocks but what do they really do except stiffen the ride?

Looks great. How was the install? I got the springs/shocks since Nov., but theres over a foot of snow now so I don't think I'll be doing my install any time soon.

did you install yourself? if not, how much did you pay for installation, and did you get the supposed warranty?

here's a quote from member hahaitzskippy that basically explains why:

"stock shocks are made for the height and the spring rate (stiffness) of the stock springs.

if you get aftermarket springs, your stance will be lower (shorter springs) and the spring rate will be higher than stock.

since your springs are shorter, that gives less distance for your shock to rebound; thus not allowing your shock to full extend and use all of its power to stop the bouncing.

to make this worse, the stiffer springs will make the shock work harder since stiffer spring needs a bigger force to stop it from moving.

the stock shocks setup will work on any springs. including the TRD. its just how well you treat the shocks"

Looks like a good install. Are the gaps on all four sides the same? Some people have been posting that some sides will sit lower, or higher, or front or back, etc. Let me know.

Did you have fun compressing the spring to the teeth just to get the trds on? :D I have done the install too and those front struts can be fun! Good job on the install though

Is there anyway you could do a writeup on the instructions? I plan on doing the install soon when the snow clears up around here and a detailed writeup would be awesome. if not, just a list of tools you needed so i can see what i need.

Thanks you for posting pics of before and after. Looks good, but for my taste, now that I saw the drop on TRDs I may consider going with Tein. I would like just a little bit more drop! But your car look good, I admit!!! Keep up the good work!
