Default TRD springs for tC have different ride heights??

I put in the TRD lowering springs on my tC and got 1 1/2" drop. i have 18" rims and still have about an inch gap.
Now I've seen people with the same springs with the stock rims and have NO GAP.

I don't understand why. Can anyone please help me with this.

Thanx

How long has it been since install......most springs seem to settle a bit and get a little lower.TRD will leave about the drop height you are describing.

I did hetchs tuesday adn they have now dropped about an inch since install......starting to look very nice.

mine took a good couple months to settle evenly and lower completely. I see people with TRD drop who have just got theirs done and having mine on for a while now it looks significantly lower. just wait it out!

Well maybe the first gen TRD springs were made differently?

TRD released two versions the white ones and red ones.
I thought it was just a color change, but maybe the springs resistance has changed too?

I use the red ones and mine looks like the 1.25 drop

scion jon are you using the white springs?

I wish they made the drop less in the back so the drop would be even (I've had the TRDs on my car for a few years now)

THE DROP IS EVEN!

the drop is 1.25 inches front and rear.

but it is just far more obvious in the rear than in the front. when i got mine done, my i saw the front end of the car before the rear end, and thought they had forgotten to install the lowering springs, but then i saw the back was much lower than it used to be, and then i saw the bright red springs and struts behind the wheel confirming that the suspension was put on.

so the trd drop is even front and rear.

tein h-techs have different drop for the front and rear.

i don't think they make the white ones anymore. and it is just a color, they do the exact same thing.

if you want, hotchkis are silver, tein h-techs are i think gold, and s-techs are green?

you really can't see them unless you peer hard through the wheels.

oh, sorry, from the way you worded it i thought you were saying it wasn't, and didn't realize you mean that ultimatly the ride looks uneven.

i'm sure they put alot of thought and engineering into the lowering springs to figure out the best geometry for the car without making it so lo that it bottems out everywhere.

we drive a fwd car sir, so wheel wheel is larger in front than rear. thus larger wheel gap in front. trd's drop 1.25 all around.

I typed that wrong - Let me revise "the car is visually lower in the back then the front" but YES - the drop is the same. Sorry for typing it wrong before.

Ph man you just missed out! We found a set of the white ones in our inventory and put it up on our site. It was only there for about three days until someone got them.
