the thing I know and what I consider is...
TRD - lower 1.2"
Tein - Lower 2"

So...your choice!

yea it just depends on how low you want to go from what I hear trd is close to stock as far as comfortability and tein h-tech arent too far behind... I would suggest getting the hotchkis sway bars with either theses as well and you could also get the stage 1 kit hotchkis makes for 375 from hopupracing.com.

Don't forget that if you go to radical, you will have to get new struts, if not, the ride WILL get worse. Thought about eibach pro-kits?

Personally, I plan on buying the TRD suspsension for one key reason: the warranty. You have to remember that there could be far more cost than the original purchase and installation - TRD seems to be a more responsible choice. Plus, it's not like the TRD kit is lacking in performance; the automotive press seems to love it.

i had that questoin to but i decided on TRD for a couple reasons..but my main one was the TRDs are supposed to work well with the stock struts, so if you dont plan on changing struts then go TRD..the H-techs will wear out your struts within the matter of 6 - 7 months; i'm sure whatever choice you go with..either way you'll be happy =D

i'd go with the H-Techs. i've seen pics and the drop is very nice and a lot more noticeable than the TRDs. it's not low enough to NEED aftermarket struts right away but it MIGHT wear your stock struts out a little faster than the TRDs.

Yea, I really hate the stock suspension on my tC. I really like the idea that TRD has to warranty but I definitely want something thats going give me the stiff ride I want and not the boat on water feel that my car has now. I really dont know if the TRD springs are going to do that for me. TEIN is always good and I havent heard anything bad about TEIN parts, but I just want to know what other way I should go. Lowering i not really my main concern although its always a good thing. What other 'smart' options are there?

I really like my Tein H-Techs. I like the look alot better than the TRD springs and I don't think the drop is to radical for the struts. I can see problems with the S-Techs but no the H-Techs. The cornering is much improved with these springs. I have some pics on my install How-to post here:

what about the Hotchkis springs? I have these sitting in my room now awaiting installation and they give a small drop too, with about a 16% increase in stiffness, trdsparks.com has a special on these right now like, $153 free shipping check it out www.trdsparks.com

I got the TRD setup from mcgeorge's with springs, struts, shocks and rear sway.

If you are up for a performance mod then this is it. It is not a dramatic drop but it handles MUCH better. The car is much tighter. Even with the crappy stock potenzas these work very well.

I had the springs, shocks, and struts installed at the same time and was impressed with those. Then a week later I crawled underneath and installed the sway. The springs had dropped a little more, a welcome surprise and the rear sway made it handle even nicer.

The TRD kit was 480 shipped from mcgeorge's and 200 for install at a local shop. Great deal!!!
