Default TRD STRUT PERSUASION?

Ok people if youd be kind enough to help a brother with questions. Id like to hear your experiences with the TRD strut / shock assembly in your ride. Also if you have pics of anything including drop, and the pieces itself. Id love to see them!

I was thinking of getting coil overs but I dont want to lower my car too low so I was going to have it set on the minimum of a 1.4 inch drop. So I decided to not waste my money and maybe get TRD.

Um... there are a lot of coilovers that offer less than a 1.4" drop as minimum. If you're only shopping for Teins... ya, that's what you'll get. But the TRD (Progress), H&R and B&G coilovers are all probably in the range you're looking for.

That is... if ride height is the only thing keeping you away from coilovers. If it's price, the H&R can be had for under $1000 shipped. TRD are a little more of course. I'm not sure on the price of the Progress or B&G ones though.

I have the spring/shock set up...just got it installed last week. For the price I paid with labor, you could have bought a whole coilover set up. But I chose the TRD package because I have an extended warranty, and I didn't want to have issues with that. The ride feels great, and I did notice a difference in the way the car handles. I'll post pics when I get home tonight.

id say get the sturt/shocks--springs assembly if you want to play it safe

also, not sure of your budget, but TRD has some nice coilovers, and ya can't go wrong with TRD

As promised...

That was a few days after the install, so I'm sure the springs will settle and sit a little lower

Delta, this is the most effective performance mod you can do to the car within reason, aside from excellent brake pads. If you opt for the full TRD setup, struts and springs, and front and rear sway bars, your car will turn from mr. hyde in to dr. jeckyl, no joke, it's like night and day, a whole new car. I love mine! The cops hate it though. . . ."You went around that corner WAY too fast son!!" Yes, but officer, I was going the speed limit. . . "
