Default TRD struts & springs

I bought my car used and it had arounf 80k miles on it and i dont know if the original owner ever replaced the struts. Im looking to put the trd lowering springs, is it worth buying the trd struts with them? does it make the ride feel any different?

well, with the trd struts the rod length is shorter than the stock. that's because the spring is also shorter. if you have the trd struts on stock shocks, there's more travel thus you have a better chance at blowing them. trd struts may be a little stiffer.

I have a set if you'd like to buy it. about 10k on them.

I know personally I have ridden in a lot of tC's with different suspension setups. My personal favorite was the TRD struts and springs combo. The TRD struts will stiffen up the suspension a little and lower it about another 1/2".

I just got my trd structs and springs and i love them. If you wait for them to settle in, you get a drop about an inch and a half. The ride is a bit more stiff but hardly noticeable. I would recommend them.

hey vi3tb0i09 if you have time can you give me a measurement of all four corners from ground to your fender centered to your wheel plz! thanks...

reason for this is I got the driver front and rear 1/2" lower then the passenger side, and it's the same when I was lowered with Tien S-Tech. So I'm wondering if everyone are in the same boat!

so after a week of research on all the struts, I finally decided to placed an order with TRDSpark for a set of TRD Struts, cuz I want to push another 5yrs on my tC atleast before upgrading to a RWD/AWD SUV. So I hope that the TRD will hold me up through that time. for sure I think Stagg and KYB GR-2 may die within 6-12months and with a few scion owner with bad review on Tokico HP Blue, but zero negative review for TRD, so TRD WINS!!!

Okay I have a few question in installing the TRD Spring & Struts!

1. Do I need to cut the bump stop for TRD Combo?
2. Do I need front camber bolts for TRD Drop? and are those bolts sold on ebay 1 kit per side or wat?

thanks...

You can cut the bump stop if you want to, but you don't have to. I cut mine though. You don't need camber bolts for TRD Drop. You'll be alright.
