TRD sway bar for tc
the ride is ____tier with the race setting, but try taking the same turn with the race setting first... going pretty fast, try putting it on street and taking that same turn as u did in the race setting... you will brake

the ride isnt all that bad with the stock 17's. i think if you lived in the city with harsh bumps and dips it will eventually get to you, i swapped to 18's and the ride is much worse hehe, but thats the price you pay for looking good and handling better
the ride isn't significantly worse for me. the sway bar is all i have at this time. i can feel it too. like i can take tight turns a lot faster than i felt comfortable doing before. my friend also commented on the handling and feel of the tC when he was driving it, but he didn't have the comparison that i have. also he drives a 2000 Nissan Frontier so i guess almost anything handles better.

$99.75 @ http://www.partznet.com/toyota/scion/trdpartstc.html
Have the receipt??
the WAY better handling is more then enough reason to get the TRD bar, it outweighs the bumpy ride. it can easily be changed from race to street. street the ride is almost like stock, race is bumpy. i say get it! its a cheap mod
its VERY easy to install yourself... if you have a good socket set... its easy, i believe the sockets you need to remove the bar are 14mm and 10mm for the bushings. all you need is a jack, jackstands, and socket set and a good 45-hour of your time and you are good to go. it comes with VERY detailed instructions too.

i like the mods you did to your tC btw. almost looks like mine. one quick question though if you had the chance would you have gotten the rear lip spoiler again. i decided not to get it at the end but now i'm starting to like it.
yea i would get the rear lip spoiler again if i had the chance, without it the tC looks like its missing something, the rear looks flat. and yes you will notice if you had the TRD springs, i had them then i got the bar and i noticed a bigger difference then from the springs alone. hope this helps
I have my car sitting on Tein S.Techs with TRD sway bar set on the Race setting, I myself love to feel the road. Makes me feel like im in a race car! lol, I do think the ride would get annoying if I lived in a bumpy area. I paid 75 Shipped for my sway bar. Im now looking at the hotchkis set. The stiffness for the rear goes up to 300% thats just crazy.
Hmmm, the ride quality didn't really suffer at all here. TRD lowering springs, TRD shocks, and TRD rear sway bar (on race setting). It made a HHHUUUGGGGEEEE difference in handling, and I can tell a very large difference between race and street settings. I haven't been able to tell a difference in ride quality beteen race or street setting, and I live in a decently bumpy area.
Feeling the road is always better, I love how the steering is a hell of a lot more neutral than it was before. I've pushed the tC to the edge so much now(on a closed track) and almost spun out a few times. Always fun.

I have the TRD shocks, springs and rear sway bar and I have it set to race, and around here some of these roads would be better if they were gravel than cement because of how bad they are, and my only complaint is that it's bumpy, too bumpy for my tastes but that's only if I'm going too fast for the stiffer shocks and springs to soak up the bumps - but I would NEVER, NEVER go back to stock. I take turns in my car like you'd never believe, I barely use my brake anymore unless I'm stopping, it's awesome. everyone complains that I go too fast in my car, I'm not going too fast, I'm doing the speed limit. I just don't slow down for the turns
I would like to get Progressive Rate springs rather than the TRD springs and keep the sway bar on race, I'm sure that would soak up most of the bumps and still give me the handling around the corners I'm looking for. so Yes, the ride quality does suffer with this setup if you're driving fast (like 35+mph on rough roads) but it's the best mod I've ever done to my car and there is practically NO understeer and the car is SO neutral in handling it's crazy, I just point the tires where I wanna go and hit the gas....
keep in mind the car has pretty bad understeer stock, and you want it down to neutral as close as possible, if you tighten up the front, you get understeer, tighten up the back, you get oversteer. I wouldn't put a front tie bar on the TC (aside of the fact that it doesn't do much anyways) because the handling is great where it's at now. A free way to counteract understeer or oversteer is lower or raise your tire pressure in the front or rear, but that can not only compromise your ride quality, but the life and safety of your tires so don't mess with that unless you know what you're doing.

I have the shocks, struts, springs installed and it is GREAT. Not to sound like Tony. I have the rear bar and can't wait to set it up on race when I get back from traveling. The setup makes such a HUGE differance in how it handles. I outcornered a cop in a black explorer on the highway. Of course I didn't realize it was a cop until he caught up with me 5 miles later. Got a warning for 90 in a 65, how lucky is that. Karma caught up witth me though, after pulling into the highway hit a tire tread that f'd up my front bumper, lower grill, and splash guard. Just got it back last week.
mahalzkita28, the sway bar will not affect ride harshness. when you hit a bump the bar just moves up and down with the suspension. i know this from experience.
otocam, trd springs are progressive rate.

jesus christ people the sway bar does not affect the car on bumpy roads the damn piece is free floating. and that means if one tire is higher than the other it doesnt matter . it only effects body roll
