the rear is even easier without it. if you have a jack, put the coil on the rear strut without the top locknut and then just place it in the rear. raise the a arm by using the jack and it will compress. guide the strut threat bolt to the middle in the top while you're jacking it upand you have a compressed spring with room to lock the nut.
Good idea...except that it is very dangerous if the jack slips and the tC would be a real PITA to get that top nut on.... I'm guessing that it would be close to impossible to do that on the tC, unless you have already done it.
i've done it several times. its not just the jack that the car is resting on. i have 2 jacks under it in close proximity. you guide the top bolt with a flat head screwdriver while you jack up the a-arm
I understand that it's not holding the car up, but it is still very dangerous to have a huge spring under compression being held in by a jack that could easily slip. I'm sure it works, but I wouldn't advise anyone to use this method.

I might do some pics today or tomorrow. My car is all cleaned up right now from a little show yesterday so it might be a good day for it. Plus it's been about two weeks since they were done. I'll see if I can find a nice spot.

Your car looks very nice all lowered! Now you got to come out again to the Glen Auto-x this weekend in Athens Pa! Lets see those mods at work!

Haha... ya, I'm actually thinking about it. But I've heard stories about last years rain at that place... I'm also worried about being pushed into STS with the springs, but I'm sure it would still be fun anyways. We'll see.

Yea last year it was VERY slippery, but it was fun to try to get your car pointed in the correct direction. FWD it was easer to keep the car under control, the RWD were all over the place that day.

Yea with the new springs that will defently bump you into a different calls weather it would be STS (probably the better class) or a stock prepared class. I know that there is no "HSP" you MIGHT get bumped all the way up to DSP... but i'm not sure.

Come on out it is allways a good time!
