Default urgent need help now!!!

im installing my koni rear struts... got them both done, lowered the car, and the passengers side strut rod pushed the top lock nut up through the cap!!! WTF!? so i pulled the strut back the eff off and reassembled and made sure all was tight. put it back in there... and the same shyt again. its only doing it on the right side. the drivers side is fine.

im at a lost for words right now. im pretty confused on wtf it could be. the bumpstop is a little different on one side from the other but thats it, which wouldnt be the problem anyways.

its almost as if the strut itself is locked and its just compressing the spring and pushing the whole locked strut up forcing the rubber washers and locknut up.

please advice so i can go finish this crap and put my front sway bar on

To be honest, this is kind of why I avoided the Konis. Unfortunately I don't actually have any advice for you b/c I haven't seen the Konis in person.

Hopefully someone will be able to chime in here and help you out.

did you cut the struts? i believe you have to do that with koni's. im not quite sure what has to be done exactly but i know you have to do some modifying to make them fit.

^ I know you have to cut the fronts, but I really don't know about the rear.
