Default What do you think I should do?

Ok guys I was gonna originally gonna buy the whole TRD suspension sways, springs, and shocks but I am not sure now. I will get the sway no matter what but not sure if I really need to lower it becuz it sits pretty good right now anywayz. So instead I was thinking of just saving up and spending say no more than 200 a month on the car. So instead I figured I would do the sway then go with saying bigger brakes. I know I could get some rotora rotorsfor like 180 but they are same size as stock, I am looking for like a bog brake system, but don't know which one is good and what price range to look at. Also I would love a kamanari body kit but I know that won't happen because I hear the Flint mica is hard to match paint. But I would love to get say the reverse cowl hood with some hood pins. Maybe if I decide to lower it later on I could go coilovers but right now I am trying to find things to make noticeble difference on the tc both handling and appearance wise because I know without going FI this car is not likely to run. But could definately make it look sexy. If ya'll can give any advise it would be greatly appreciated.

at least put the TRD springs on, it sounds like you wanna start saving your money! A BBK would be nice, but not needed right now. I would get the springs and be settled with that for now. Untill you have yourself a good amount saved up then get what you want. Cuz if you get the body kit now and then not enough money to paint it. Im not a fan of body kits which is why im getting the OEM lip kit and then leaving the tC like that for a while untill maybe tax season to expect a nice check or something kool for xmas to get my rims then after that im going for the supercharger. Save that $200 a month for your car and then you should have a good amount for coilovers by oct or nov or whatever you want! Trust me bro, you'll be happy that you saved!

so in all of that, just get the TRD springs for now so the tC will look 10x better than stock suspension and save the rest!

I say get the TRD Springs and Rear Sway - this will improve the handling of your car greatly.

You don't need a BBK unless you're doing some serious autocrossing. True BBK's are expensive too - well over the cost of the TRD Shocks +Springs + Sway.

well basically i am just looking at filling up the wheel with the big brake it looks so much better and also it would make the car safer having some extra braking power behind it. And the reason I was trying not to get the trd springs is becuz it looks good now how it is and it makes no sense to me to do the install twice... once for installing the springs and then again for installing the shocks

OK I would forget the BBK for right now. For one the brakes on the car now stop it just fine and you're not putting down enough power to actually use it to be honest. Yes it will look good but I think the BBK's are front only. I could be wrong on that so don't quote me. Either way I would get springs and a sway bar first. No matter how well you think it handles now it will be a day and night difference and you'll be glad you got them. Personally I like the Hotchkis springs the best but that's just me. If you are thinking about getting a kit them I would definitely lower the car first. Any good body shop will tell you that because there are no guarantees on whether it will work with the drop. Better to find out before you have it put on and painted.

hey josh do you think i should get the shocks now or should I wait? Plus are u sure that the hotchkis springs will not rub with my 18 inch rims? Plus I thought I heard that some people were experiencing weird noises after installing those springs, I could be wrong but I thought I remembered that or maybe it was stechs. I have 26k miles on my car right now and if I put the springs on without the shocks how long do you think I could go without new shocks?

It's really all up to you and your driving. If you drive like I do then I say get the struts now. I'm an aggressive driver just so you know. If you're just looking to improve the handling for a daily driver then I say use the stock struts for as long as you can. Strut life really depends on your driving to be honest. They could last a year or 5 years. You shouldn't have any rubbing with the hotchkis springs IF you have a decent offset on the wheels and they aren't too wide. It's hard to say whether they will or not because there are alot of variables involved.

The people that have had noise from their spring is due to faulty installation. If the spring isn't seated properly then it will move and make a noise. It really doesn't matter what company made them.
