What to get..S-techs or H-techs?? NEED HELP!!
so i am looking to drop my 05 with the stock 18s from enkei and its between the H-techs or the S-techs....my questions are before i decide are:
1. Would the S-techs be too low and make me rub and whatnot?
2. How is the ride on the S-techs? compared to oem?
3. how are the S-techs compared to the H-techs? as in how is the ride?

1. Don't know yet - I'm still waiting for my 18's to come in.
1. S-tech's ride is actually pretty good. I was quite impressed. You can def. feel the road more, but it's not really uncomfortable. You might want to get aftermarket shocks if you choose s-tech's, though.
3. No idea - but I would imagine that the H-tech drop would a nicer ride as it doesn't sit as low.
You can find a lot of reviews on these forums. Many people share there experiences with those exact wheels. Just search for a bit and I'm sure you'll find your answer.

S techs ride just like your stock springs with worn out stock tires.
Which isnt too bad, just a little bumpy when going over bumps.
If you get h techs they might not be as low as you want them to be.

^ what? no.
1. probably would make you rub, stech's lower quite a bit
2. ride wasn't as comfortable, honestly a little loose. felt a little wobbly, you're lower than center of gravity
3. stech vs htech, ride for htech's are much better, but they look like a trd drop. not so pretty

i think the h-techs are perfect, i had 18's with my h-techs and it would rub sometimes over bumps or alot when i would have people in the back so i just went back to 17's, but h-techs are good, you do feel the road much more than stock springs

Thanks everyone for your inputs! they are very much appreciated and from further searching and looking at pics i think that H-techs are the way i want to go, i dont want something slammed and i dont want a super bumpy uncomfortable ride so sounds like H-techs are for me!..Now on the quest on finding them at the right price!!

I have h techs, i'm not sure which type of problem you are asking about but
1. It doesn't scrape, and that's with the oem gfx kit also.
2. It feels a little hard when the car drops back to the ground after going over a speed bump.

yea i was asking myself that too.
s vs h techs.
and i've decided to go ahead and order my h-techs.
theres actually a thread here saying that teins were on sale for less than 200.
h-techs would be suitable because you can get 18's whenever, along with a lipkit without worrying about troublesome things like rubbing/scraping and all that.

Response to answer 2: Htechs have a softer spring rate if I remember correctly, so they may bottom out harder than the Stech.
Also when trying to guage if a rim will rub or not you need to consider the OFFSET and tiresize.. These may differ between applications, so be clear when saying "mine rubs"..
I have Stechs on stock wheels and the ride is perfect, does not ride like a lowered honda NOR does it eat the tires.. I carry 3 people without rubbing, even over speedbumps.. Just be carefull not to pull too close to parking bumps.
