Default What type of springs and how much should I lower my TC....

I am getting my spring kit and I wanted the advice of the veterans. I want to close up the wheel gap and give it a nice agressive look. How much should I lower it and what spring kits do you guys recommend?

tein s-techs or trd springs if you wanna close the wheel gap. get h-techs if you wanna be low low but your stock struts wont last long and youll have to be more careful being that low.

depends how low you wanna drop and if you wanna sacrifice ride. tein stechs are lowest you can get on springs. TRD for conservative drop which doesnt hurt your ride that much or If its me i'd go hotchkis or tein Htechs

U got that backwards buddy...S-Techs are the lowest Tein spring...H-techs are a little lower than TRD...

Me personally, i've had the H-techs for about a year and a half now on stock struts, and they're still a great ride...i still think the ride is smoother than stock with a better look and slightly more aggressive in the turns. Here's a pic for you so you can get an idea of how low...

Will I rub with tein s techs? I have 18"s but I still have the same outside diameter tire as stock, at least I hope I do.

Okay, I have to admit I am a little confused. Now the stock suspension sits higher in the back right? So I assume if I wanted to level it out I would need a little more of a drop on the rear correct. If this is so, what would be the best choice for smoothest ride but looking the most level?

I read hotchkis are real level but might not be the best ride? Let me know what you think.

Tanabe DF210s

1.7 front
2.2 rear

Even drop. My springs settled a bit more, I have absolutely no wheel gap.

^ Oh and there is no sacrifice of ride quality, the car handles better and rides a lot smoother than stock. That's for sure.

I'm going on 13K on the springs with no problems.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback, it was really helpful in my decision.

After a lot of deliberation I decided to go with the Hotchkis. I should get them by Wednesday...I got them for $175 shipped from Justin over at JSC Speed.
