who would you get to install your springs?
i have a couple of choices to pick from but i am not sure what i wanna pick. i have 4 options as of right now on who to drop my car.
1: 2 friends that know nothing about dropping a car that is going be helped and instructed by a mechanic at the mechanic's shop - $65 bucks. *can get job done ASAP
2: 2 other guys that dropped several cars already, but i am not sure if they have done a TC. - $65 bucks (will have to wait till weather gets warmer, maybe tuesday and they will be doing this at their house.)
3: A buddie that has dropped his car plenty of times with different springs/coilovers, but has only done his and helped other people do theirs. (never did a TC for sure and his car was domestic) - $10 for food or something lol.. *probably have to wait till monday.
4: take it to a real shop to get it done for $100-150. *not even sure exactly where yet. probably get job done ASAP.

I ask my self who has two thumbs and loves b%^&)$%s .......
:D
Seriously though, doing it on a tC or another car doesnt really matter if the person is mechanically inclined and will make sure the job is done right. Not to mention that if someone that knows their way around the garage wants to look online there are plenty of writeups (here and on yoursciontc.com for example).

i dropped my tc by myself but had a pretty strong friend pull down the front sway bar down while i hook everything back up.
if u have a impact gun it will cut the time in half. seriously. and a hydraulic jack and jack stand.
it was frustrating since my spring compressor was a POS...trust me get something simple and easy to operate.
if u got coil overs then all u need is an hour or 2...

option 3,
The tc was my first time i install spring. My other friend know nothing about about cars. I just need him for extra pair of hand. I gave him a coupon for a buy 1 get 1 free burger in MacDonald. He was happy.
But if you don't want to do it yourself, Just go with 1 or 2

well i mean how much do driving do you actually plan on doing in 2 weeks lol. Unless you plan on driving to either the west coast or east coast and back you will be fine. Btw I had never lowered a car before and had my friend who had lowered 3 cars at least that i know of (Nissan Altima SER, Civic Si, Subbie Legacy GT) and we got it done in about 4 1/2 hours...Keep in mind this was in like 30-40 degree weather outside in my apartments parking lot lol. I'd say # 3 and btw you need spring compressors and an impact wrench to make things go smoothly/safely.
its already installed
paid 65 bucks for option 1. drop is superb~ i didnt know how not getting an alignment was gonna affect tire wear so i wanted to know before going around too much. i drive to work and back. go to the gym and pick up my gf and other stuff everyday. i was also planning on going to the beach and stuff. not sure if it was gonna mess up anything, but everything is cleared up. thanks guys!

I got my alignment about 30 days after install and about 1200 miles of driving, tires looked fine.My yaris I drove 10000 miles before alignment and tires had a little feathering, but once alignment was done it drive a lot better, tightened up the way it turned in corners a lot.
