I have a 2006 Scion tc and when i got it the calipers where not painted. I chose to paint them red. However, it seems like some tC's have silver calipers that came that way from the factory. Why is that? Is it a new thing on the 2007's, or did a huge number of people just decide to paint theirs silver after they bought them?

 

i thought they were all the same color? dark grey/silver i think?

 

The first few 06's came with whatever the 05's had and somewhere in the middle they changed to sliver ones. I like the silver ones but mine are painted anyways so it doesnt matter.

Hmm...must have been after December (and '06 model production would have begun in May/June '05), as that's when mine was built, yet I have unpainted calipers.

 

Hmm I thought my 07 calipers are gray. I just realized they are silver. lol

I used to work at the dealership that I bought my car from. I think it was early this year that they started shipping out the silver caliper ones. I used to detail the cars and I noticed a change around that time.

My SW was born in Feb 06 and it came w/ silver calipers

mine are solid 24k gold with diamonds

 

Mine was one of the first 06 tcs(july 2005), It had the nasty dirt color calipers. I painted them silver.
