It comes down to personal preference I guess. I have 17's, wish I would have gone 18's cause the ride is just as bumpy. Looking into 15's now though...

There are allot of advantages and disadvantages to running both. First of all decide what the car is for, if you are not going to give it any real track time, or if you just want it do cruise, the 18's are more "astheticaly" pleasing. However, the downside of running 18's is cost. Tires are more expensive since you have to run 40 series tires. (you run 45's on 17's) Sine you have a larger wheel it will also be added weight. You car will not stop the same, you probobly won't even notice unless you drive it hard.

There really are no downsides form owning 17's, no tire or suspension will cause you to wear out your suspension faster or such. If you are worried about weight, and are on a budget I'd stick with some nice, wide 17's. Then just add some sticky rubber and your set.

awesome, thanks guys, ya its a show car only, and will prob do 17's cuz of $$ factor, and probably will stick to a 35 off set since i dont really want them to stick out wide and sit more flush than anything

If you want good handling go for smaller wheel, if you want to go for looks then go for a lil larger. I wouldn't go anymore than 18".... 19" is just overdoing it.

18's! if you get anything smaller youll regret it! if money is an issue, keep the stock wheels/tires and save up, so by the time you NEED new tires you can get much better wheels and tires. Save up and get something THAT YOU WANT

get what you want, i have 18s and love them, but show cars do usually look better with bigger wheels. depends what you wanna pay for 17 to 18 is not a big difference in size. most people cant tell.

To me there is not really a point to spend that kind of money on 17s when tC's already come with that size. Save up and get the 18s man u wont regret it.

lol, its a shame that all you see in a wheel is its diameter. I'd much rather have a nice 17x8.5 witha 30offset then having any 18x7 inch wheel with a poor offset and awfull fitment.

For the most part, 18s are more aesthetically pleasing in the tC wheel well. But depending on the spoke design 17s can look bigger or smaller. i.e. If the spokes go straight all the way to the lip, the wheels will look bigger.

You speedometer will also be slightly off with a larger wheel.

One nice thing about 17s is you have a little more room to put a wider rim for the money and biger tire and you can reduce a lot of weight if you do it right............

18s the number of tires and rims that fit without adding weight gets small quick and cost is higher.........and lighter than stock ones get expensive fast........and many that are lighter have weird offsets.......

19s........tires are really expensive for good ones.........I originally thought about 19s......they look great, but the amount of light ones is very small short of paying for BBS or another Forged wheel............and the tires are too much.........the Hankooks I looked at are almost $270 each before mounting.........

I am going 18s by 1st of March.........I will send you pictures.........gonna do the Crosshairs.........and stilnot sure on tires yet..........the 18x 8 crosshairs are 21 lbs and stocks I hear are 23...........so the weight is about the same .......

I personally dont think buying 17's because of money issues is a good idea. Thats like saying I wanna turbo....but I dont have enough for a good kit so Ima buy one off ebay. Thats why civics get flamed so much. Kids who own them eith cant afford or dont save up to buy things that look good. So they buy cheap crap that looks like crap. Unless your racing....18's. And really unless you have a 400 HP tC that you drag race ALOT then I still would not really worry about putting 18's on the car.

You should not rub with that, but it also depends on what offset the wheels have.
