17x7 with +40 Offset?

So this is OK for the tC right? No rubbing, right?

The stock wheel is 17x7 with +45 offset. Would the +40 wheel actually be pushed farther out (5mm)?

So it would act like there is a 5mm spacer?

You shouldn't have any problems rubbing. I'm on TRD springs, 17x7 +42, 225/45/17 and have plenty of clearance.

17x7 +35 is safe too. I'd say you can swing +33 or +32. EddNog's big brake kit pushes his wheels out about 2mm and he runs 17x7 +35's with no rubbing issues.
