+30 is to much of an offset for an 8.5 wide wheel. If you want to run an 8.5 you need to stay between +40 and +48 offset.

These are some of those question only a very few people can answer. Alot of people see the "it'll rub" posts and eveyone jumps on the bandwagon although they don't know for sure. I test fitted an 18x7.5 rim with a 42 offset with 15mm spacers and 225/40 tires. Taking in consideration of the spacers, it was a 27mm offset wheel on S-techs with 225/40 tires and did not rub at all.

27!! Lets see someone beat that

using the rim+tire calculator here:

http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

Going from a 215/45-17 on a 17x7 ET 45 rim to a 225/40-18 on a 18x8.5 ET 30 wheel these are the following size differences:

-Backspacing: 4mm (0.2") Deeper than stock
-Tire diameter: 11mm (1.8%) larger than stock
-Fender Clearance: 20mm (0.8") farther than stock

Also, i use to run 19x8" rims with 35 offset on 225/35-19 size tires. There was still considerable space between tire and fender:

Still a hard one to say however. Take those dimensions and do some measuring.

Driver sisde rubbed a bit under hard agresive driving.. ( really hard)

Front: 18x8.5, et30
Rears: 18x9, et24 + 5mm spacer = et19
Tires: 225/40/18 all around
Drop: 2" on Tein coilovers (1 finger gap all around)

the rear fenders flare out a couple mm's because of aggressive fender rolling.

HKSpeed that looks sweet man, I am thinking or rolling the fenders too, do you think I will have to do that if I get 18x9 TORK MATRIX RIMS 265/35/18 would i have to roll my rear fenders?

depends on the offset. i've seen plenty of people put 18x9 in the rear without rolling fenders. i think they had a 40 offset. you'll rub like crazy on 265's. you need 225 or 235.
