Seriously, I'm thinking of getting these but I noticed that that tires almost look like they don't fit. I hate that look (no offense), is this just the tires or will this happen no matter what size tires I put on? Here's what I'm talking about...

 

if you go with a wider tire they're look more the way you want BUT you will rub, badly!

So he went with a 245/35/18 tire on a 18x9 rim so you are saying if I got a 255/35/18 it would give me the look I want but rub? The 255/35/18 is what wheelsnext recommends for the 18x9. Would a wheel spacer fix the rub? The thing is these rims seem to be what I'm looking for now in my price range but the way the tire fits with that 245/35/18 bugs the crap out of me. It's like me trying to fit in my "skinny" pants after the holidays.

 

265's should be on a 9" rim .....

Ok so I tried to figure out a way to spend some more and get better rims but it's just not gonna work now. So if I get these 18x9 with 265/35/18 tires I'll rub but won't have that "gap" between the tire and rim? If I do rub can I just roll the fender and be fine? Thanks!

 

i dunno man thats a huge tire. and will most likely hit everything and everything in the fender. you wont have the stretched look but damn dude you're not going to have any clearance. you may be able to roll fenders to help but you're not going to be able to be as low as you want (i.e. s-techs)

 

Maybe look at something else or maybe go with the 18x8.

 

yeah i'd just go with the 8. you wont have the lip but you wont get that stretched look which you hate so much

 

Wheelsnext and wheelsfire show a 225/40 tire on the 18x8. Should I get 225 or like a 235 or 245 for a nicer fit? Please bare with me, I'm not a rim a tire guy. I spent the last 2 years learning turbo setups.lol

 

with you and your ocd over stretched i'd go with a 235/40
