So I have Tein S-Techs which have dropped my car 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear. I would like to put a set of 19X8.5 with a 35mm offset but I am wondering if they will fit ok on the car with the drop. I really don't want to go down to 18" but I also don't want to rub either!

you may rub, but nothing removing of the innerfenders wont fix... what size tires?

i would assume that you're going to rub. I have the Tein H techs which isn't as low as the S techs and running 19's and I have major rubbing issues in the front. The tires so far have worn off the plugs holding on the inside fenderwell so that then fell down and then started wearing a hole in the inside plastic fender well.

I have a lot of weight in the back for my stereo system so I can't say if you would have issues in the back but my tires are tucked in the rear so I rolled my fenders which helped a little. If i hit a large bump in the road my rears tires will rub as well.

Biggest pain for me is i can't take turns too fast because then the front tires are outside the fender well and with the body lean of the car i rub for sure going more than 20MPH

Yea you would rub with that setup, but you can use 225 35 19 tires might minimize rubbing, but its not like undriveable. I only have 18x8 35 offset but I rub mostly in front, not much though but I have a stiffer suspension that helps minimize rubbing.

i have 225/35/19s on a 19x8.5, i removed my innerfenders and rolled all the lips. ive got atleast 200lbs of stereo in the rear. i tuck all tires.

i have full turn, but i do bottom out/rub in the front atleast twice a day. (usually going over an instate bridge that i just cant avoid.)

19s take some effort (for lack of better word) to own on a tC.. if its gona be a "show" car then you deal with it. if you just wanna look good going down the road then stick with 18"s IMO

my tires are Toyo T1R 235/35/19. I'm pretty sure at least that they're 235's, im in the midwest on business right now so I can't double check but i bought the rims used and the guy I bought them from had 225 on one pair and 235 on the other pair so I remember I switched out the tires so they're all the same......just can't remember what i switched them to.

I'm pretty sure I'm running 19x8

odd, i'm running a 19x8 up front and its pretty light. i think i'm at a 33 offset. my rears are 19x10 and a 47 offset .

So neb you dont rub at all or just a lil? Did you do anything with your fenders or liners? It's weird that a lot of people with 18s rub and some few dont with their 19s, i wish im one of those who doesnt rub.

i rub ocassionally if i'm on a huge dip but the rear doesn't rub at all. i do have some weird backspacing to make them fit but not sure what considering the wheels were custom fit.

I am also on 19x8's and I never rub. Offset is 32 and tire size is 225/35.

Our guide shows 19x8 would be ideal with an offset in the range of 38-57mm to keep it under the fenders. If you are worried about rubbing run the 225.35.19 and look at Falken Tires, Falkens tend to run a little narrower which will give you more clearence.
19x8.5" wheels need 44-50mm offset range to avoid rubbing. If you stay within these ranges you will have the fewest issues with rubbing. shoot for the middle of these offsets and again run the 225.35.19 and you shouldn't have any problems.

I run 19x8.5 +30 all around, flush as fackkk, and only rub on major bumps and dips.

I went from K-Sport coilovers and switched back over to my Tanabe DF210's and still
don't have any rubbing issues besides big bumps and dips. I'm actually thinking about
going with S-Techs to get lower.

yeah, but then you run a higher risk of bending a rim than if you ran with 225s or 235s (with the same 35 aspect ratio)

i had 215/35 on 19" superlegerras and bent 2 rims in about a month (now, granted, the oz's were soft and light wheels).
