Default 20" with a 225/35/20 tire.

i was told if i get 20's i can put a 225/35/20 tire. but i have also been told that 225/30/20 would be better. anyone have any suggestions on which one i should go with. 30 or 35's?

you can go with 30 but the wheels will suffer more if used daily with the 20 because that tire is too thin. If you are going to put 20's then my recomendation would be to use the 225/35/20 it will protect the wheel a bit more.

The 35 series tire will rub like a **** if you are at stock hieght, and will rub even more if lowered. I run a 225-30-20 everyday and I'm dropped 3 inches in the front and I don't rub at all.

I agree with Munch..
I am also on on a 225/30/20. I am tucking part of the tire front and rear and very really rub. Yes a 35 series will fit in there and save the rim a little better. Check out AwesomeTC he is running a 35 series and dont have any issues at all either. Just not as low.

My wheels are 20x8, and that's pushing it as far as width goes with 20's.

so with a TRD drop i can do 225/35/20 ?? Munch is saying you cant even with stock tires. But .. then your saying your dropped 3 inches and you got a smaller tire. Im dropped on TRD and going 35. Wouldnt it equal pretty much the same with me and you ?? Considering your dropped lower ??

I dont know.. these dudes told me they'll test fit it on my ride to see if it'll rub and if does smaller tire i must go. They really recommended the 30. Thing is i live in chicago and these potholes are a biatchhhhhhhhh !!
