I wouldn't trust ebay for stuff like that. They will fit. Actually they'll have a nice little stance

im on 18x8 with 37 offset and dropped on s-techs. i had 225/40 tires at first. i didnt roll my fenders and it rubbed alllll the time. i switched to 215/35 on the fronts and 215/40 on the rears. dont rub anymore. then i rolled my fenders in the rear for future plans. hehe

Okay. I can see those eBay rims are 18x7.5 +42. Stocks are 17x7.5 +45. That's not much of a difference offset wise. The smaller the number, the more "out" they will stick out. So in your case, since the eBay rims ur looking at are +42, they will be further away from the car by 3mm compared to the stock specs. That's not a big problem to be worrying about. If ur planning on slamming ur car, u will defly be tucking. It will not be flush at all. And you will have no problems rubbing on your fenders. If u have any more questions, your more than welcome to pm me.

check that thread out. maybe you can see some info that will help you there.

a while ago, i had some konig runways that were 18x8 +35. they had 225/40 r18 on them. i rubbed like crazy cuz i didnt roll my rear fenders. especially on hard turns like u-turns and going up/down driveways. i didnt rub at all in the front tho. i dont have any pics of those on my car tho.

i ended up selling those konigs and got some tenzo type m. these were 18x8 +37. so since these are +37, that means they go in towards the car by 2mm compaired to the konigs since those were +35. they came with 225/40 tires on them again. these are the pics of them at the time with those tires.

so now, i have new tires. 215/35 r18 in the fronts and 215/40 r18 in the rears. no more rubbing problem at all. but i rolled my rears cuz im planning on going lower sometime next month. so anyways, it all depends on what size tire you wanna run.

and to answer your question, yes. since they are 35 offset, they will be somewat "flush" with your fender. well, at least compared to stock specs. but not completely "hellaflush". ull need some spacers if u wanna go that route. and yeah, i totally understand the whole not affording to scrape. my car is my daily also. but i ended up not caring as much anymore. which is why im swapping to coilovers soon.
