Default Is +45 offset too much???

I own a FM tC and I want to purchase the motegi Dp6 in hyper black 18x7.5 but im just concerned that with an offet of 45 its going to be sticking out way to far. Will i have to worry about rubbing? I also plan to but a TRD drop on it as well please advise.

45 offset is the same as stock so with a 7.5" wheel youre only looking at a few mm wider than stock. Im 17x8 +35 which is 23mm wider than stock per corner and Im still not even completely flush. You will be fine with those wheels.

a 51 mm offset will actually push the wheels inward by 6mm over stock. A higher number offset means the wheels will stick out less when the width is held constant. Wheel widths play a big role and make it hard to visualize, which is why I recommend this link to get a good idea of what changes you will see:

that wheel will stick outwards 6mm on each side, but it wont rub.

that wheel will stick inwards 18mm, outwards 6mm.
depending on tire width and how low the car is, you may rub against the springs.
i would not roll with Subaru offset wheels, unless you put some 15-20mm spacers on.

You can always use some 15mm H&R spacers on all 4 corners to give you an effective +36 offset which will make them look very nice, but youll be adding almost $300 to the wheel setup for the spacers.

Theres really no issue in running a quality hubcentric spacer other than the price. The nice thing about the H&R kits is that they include new wheel studs as well so you dont have to worry about having insufficient thread depth in your lugnuts.

For that kind of money, you should be looking at HRE, Kinesis, or the like. If you're ready to drop 2 grand on the wheels, may as well go custom fitment, and get exactly what you want.

my 18x7.5 +48mm offset wheels fit fine. The only problem that I have with them is that the center wheel stud on the fronts stick out too much and I cant fit my center cap over them. spacers would fix this though, but alas, im too cheap to do that :D
