Holy ____, how ____ing awesome. I planned on the same setup, but with a +35 offset. I think i'll be getting the 48 offset now though, since it looks like 35 would be sitting out MUCH further.

You surely have rubbing problems with 245s? I thought 235 was going to be pretty bold...

I thought a 35mm offset with an 8" rim sat flush, and didn't stick out?

nope, lag is negligible (sp?). i have to get used to working the throttle a little better cuz im always spinning 2nd gear, and i'm never going WOT!

i'm still a novice at autox, was only my second event. the first one i did was with stock tires, wheels and s-techs. my new setup consists of the new wheels, tires, and tein basics. it must have made a difference because this time i was able to beat one of my friends (while totally bogging in the middle of the course ) when last time he was able to beat me.

also, i have no problems running the wide tires since i have the 48 offset. i bought these wheels used and if they were a 35 offset, i don't think i would have bought them.

also, the tires that i have (falken fk451) are being discountinued (by the fk452) so i was able to get them at 105 a piece. theyre all seasons with a AA rating and i think 280 treadwear rating. my only tires before this were the factory potenzas so the tires do make a difference.

I have a;ways been interested in autox events but never had the chance to participate. Lovely wheels and I love seeing our cars in action.

Man, offset confuses the utter ____ out of me. I thought a 48 would sit the wheels further into the wheel well, and combined with the 245s would have surely caused it to rub. What am I missing?

offset just refers to the distance of the hub to the centerline of the wheel....so just because two wheels have the same offset doesnt mean they are the same...the width of the wheel needs to be considered....

nice car by the way...

rims look great! The car just looks sick with the wheels, suspension, and front mount.

the tein basics are my only upgraded suspension component. im looking into some hotchkis sway bars in the future as the car likes to understeer.
