Default ADR wheels?

just found a deal on 4 17" wheels for $375 plus tax.

I've never held ADR in high regard like volk, rays, enkei, etc... and i know they're not the highest quality. But they seem to be okay.

Anyone have any opinions? And don't say they're cheap just because they're on tire rack or wheelsnext.com etc... give me tangible facts/proof/evidence.

heres why: my stock tc wheels are totally scraped up (curb rash) due to the perils of parelle parking in philly. Plus, i hate the stock potenza rubber. i want to make the scion wheels specific winter wheels, and have a nice set of spring/summer wheels with a little more bling factor and nicer street tires. Having 2 sets of wheels (same size) also makes sense in case you ever have a blowout or pick up a nail, u can just swap on an extra rim as a spare.

anyway, looking for input. I'm probably just going to get a set of wheels for 375 and store them in the garage till spring. then grab some nice rubber and have em mount and balanced. store the scion wheels till winter.

thoughts?

thanks for the reply. yeah, i don't NEED top of the line. i'm not drag racing or auto-xing or even showing the car. just want a nicer looking wheel, and cheaper to replace than the $500 stock scion tc wheels.

heavy tire? have to say i've never heard that. I can't imagine different tire makes being that drastically different weights, for the same size tire.

but anyway.

I've heard mixed reviews about neo gens. they're good for tire wear. maybe not the best grip/traction.

the guy apparently has a warehouse full of wheels n tires...sounds a little shady though. i'm a bit sketchy, think i'll check them out anyway. just get a nice set of adr rims and throw some nice street rubber on for summer time. with my upgraded suspension (trd struts/shocks and eibach springs, dc strut bar) will probably ride a lot better.
