Default Anyone running 18x8 w/ h-techs?

Are there any folks out there that are riding on 18x8 ( 225/40/18 ) with an h-tech drop? Do you have any major rubbing issues? What offset do you have? 35mm or even 40mm? I'll be getting mine soon and wanted to see what I'm in for. Thanx.

simply stated.. 18x8 will fit fine with a +40 offset, +35 will fit as well. h-tech isnt that big of a drop so no worries.

I am not trying to berate you, but I just wanted to point out that on the same 1st page in the tC wheel and tire section, roughly 30 or so threads from this one, there is a topic called "18 x 8 with H techs?" Perhaps you did not put the proper search string but the reason people get so aggravated about questions such as this is because it clutters the forum.

I have 18x8 with a 35mm offset. I have some mild scrubbing over large bumps on the driver's side.

i have had an h-tech drop with 18x7.5 et:42 with 224/40 tires and experienced no rubbing.

i am telling you from experience that you will not rub. also my h-tech drop settled lower than most, so you should be safe.

I have read that very thread, Rabid. And I did find info that was helpful. MY question is for those folks who are actually running the 18x8 and h-tech set-up. I'd rather not have second-hand info or details thats tell me what offset might or might not rub. I'd like to hear from folks who actually HAVE this set-up. But thanks for the info.

Your front tires will rub from time to time with high speed bumps and dips. I have the H tech drop with 18x8 +35 on 225/40/18. even with stiffer shocks and struts you will still rub. From experience. [img][/img]

I have 18 x 8 with 42 mm offset and you wont rub when you turn or anything, like stated above, you will rub a bit on bumps and dips, so just drive smart.

that is my topic "18 x 8 on H Techs? and i got mixed opinions - some said they rub, and some said they didnt,,,

im on Falken ZIEX512's if that makes any difference,,

OK thanks. I got a 40mm offset with 225/40zr/18 Falken Ziex ZE 512 tires. I will be installing them and the springs asap. Guess I'll find out soon enough if they rub.
