He means overpriced. I agree. Even I can get way better deals - presuming we're excluding tires here.

I was trying to make a point...

If I remember correctly my wheels were about 2700-2800 shipped from status (19x9/10.5) + tires 245/275 which was 1100+.

18" Rota D2's I can do for 700 and some change, and pick up some nankangs on ebay for 300+.

Thanks for the advice. If you can think of something else in my price range ($1000) thats a better wheel, similar size/offset, I'll gladly listen.

hp evo's would be a good choice but they might be a bit more.

right around a grand with tires, not the best tires but for a grand its not bad

I don't suggest putting a budget on wheels. Just save up and get a really nice set instead of grabbing anything because it's cheap. You'll be a lot happier you made a good investment in quality products. But if you must roll on a budget, I'd rather get Enkei or 5Zigen than Rota. Look for deals on some cheaper Rays wheels like G-Games or Gram Lights too. Can't go wrong with Rays.

I mean, I don't need to save up to buy nice wheels, I already have them on my other car. If I wanted Time Attacks or another set of Works for the scion I would go buy them, however for a daily driver that I don't wanna worry about I don't see the point.

I am setting a price point and sticking to it. If I can't find anything for 1000, I'll take my stockers to get powder coated.

I am just looking to stick out from the crowd rolling around town.

Anyone know of a good time attack style wheel in the size/price I am looking for?

Honda guys swear by them because they make a copy of all the expensive JDM wheels. Rota is trash. Save up your money and get some better wheels.

This is never true and i know from exeprience because after two set of o OK Rims...realized that if you something is going to last and be a quailty you need to drop about 2k plus...and thats just the rims not including tires...
Uhh...I know...? What are you trying to say is wrong with what I said?
