Default cheap tuner lugnuts?

I've seen many brands of these blue lugnuts selling for around $140 for a set of 20. But I found ones made by Gorilla that are $25.95 for a set of 20:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

and these by Muteki that are $35.00:

Is it better to splurge and pay over $100 for quality lugnuts? Or are these cheaper brands just as good.

Also, will they fit stock wheels?

Thanks!

i have had the volks and they fade bad, i just ordered some blue gorrillas, they are good lugs and have been around for years........
the volks weigh less then most other lugs, and your paying for the name. but they do look good. the blue is almost a turquise color, not a true blue like the muteki or the gorrlias.

I actually like the turquoise color on those..

Would you happen to know if the Gorillas fit stock TC wheels, and also, where'd you order your Gorilla lugnuts from?

Thanks!

check www.axiswheel.com
however you may not get that price unless you ordered wheels from them.

Lug nuts are not a thing to go cheap on.

Don't get the Muteki lugs. I have a friend who is using them and the quality doesn't justify 35 dollars. It feel like the lugs are going to strip just trying to take them off the car.

I'm using a set of Mcgard splinedrive nuts and locks. They're really high quality and worth the money. The Lugs are a two piece design so that taking them on and off won't scratch the wheels. I trust that they will keep my wheels from being stolen too. I bought the set from ebay for about 70 dollars.

And if you get a chance to hold a Rays lug nut, you'll see why they are so expensive. They are so light, it feels like they're made of plastic, but reputation assures that they are still very stong. I didn't buy the Ray's nuts because I'm convinced the Mcgards are a better anti-theft.

I don't know how good the Gorilla nuts are.

gorrilas are spline drive as well, they just dont have the rotating seat.
The volks are acutally pretty easy to steal, one of the lugs has a slot for the key and the lug itself is 5 sided, all you need is a silghtly larger socket and off it comes, i know this because i lost my key like an idiot.
but they weigh nothing, kics are good too.

and actually if you are looking for a blue lug for the stock rims get the mcgards, the tip is blue and since the stock rims has a recessed lug hole you cannot see the entire lug anyways.
spend the money and get the mcgards

I have been happy with mcgaurd in the past. For locking lugs definitely spend the money to get decent ones that wont tear up the 2nd time you take them off.

i have gorilla locking nuts and muteki. the muteki are kinda lightweight and flimsy but i think they work well with lighter wheels like mines. i've had mines on for just about a year with no problems.

do any of these manufacturers have chrome lugs? I noticed yesterday that my lugs are kinda rusting. they're cheapies that were included w/ my wheel & tire package, so i knew they weren't going to last long. I just want another higher quality set of chrome lugs.

So these will work then right?

That's the cheapest I've found them besides summit racing, which is about 15 dollars more.
