But there also one of the best tires you can buy right now. And they were only 121.00 a piece 225/45 R17 on stock rims

I finally got my car back form the body shop after a month and just put on my Enkei RPF1s and Falken Azenis RT-615s in 225/24-17 and I must say they are amazing. I can power through turns I used to coast through with the potenzas screaming. I only drove around for a while, and I could not get these tires to screech or break loose at all...they just stick and make the car go wherever you point it. Now I really cant wait to put on my Hotchkis sways How can a tire this cheap possible be this good

Suprisingly, the 615's have better treadwear than our stock potenzas...

I've had those tires on my lowered tC for almost a year now - I absolutely love them, no questions at all.

Well i havent put mine on yet, but from what you guys are saying i cant wait. How do you think they will help my traction with my turbo. Cuz right now i can barely use 1st gear, 2nd always get away from me, but 3rd gear is good. LOL

I dunno, about those potenzas man, I went on tirerack.com and found that those things (if you wanted to replace them with the same) are like 170 per. I've been looking for a better performing tire, I'm certainly gonna give these a good looking over. Plus, if this has ANY relavance what so ever, my friend has Falken 512's and loves them to death (uses them for autocross).

I noticed you got the unichip, how easy was it to use and does it plug right into the ecu?

The unichip is awsome. It only took me about 2 minutes if that to install. Its a straight plug n play ECU. It came with the Turbonetics turbo kit.

Keep in mind...low tread life = softer compound tire which = sticker tire. If the tread rating is higher, it usually equates to longer lasting due to high compound of rubber. You can have both worlds, so the object is try to find the stickest, longest lasting tire in your price range.

The Neo Gens are pretty middle of the road as far as longevity and being sticky. The RT-615 might be a little stickier than the Neo's, but again, tread life is shorter as well.

Might I suggest going to the local store and picking up a copy of the latest SuperStreet Mag. This months issue is very focused on Tires. And it breaks down the category/class of tires, and also gives you some informative insite on how they rate the tires.

Not trying to jack the thread or anything, but I picked these up for Drag Racing at the Scion ShootOut
