Default converting a car to a 5 lug nut pattern?

is it possible? my friend has a car with 4 lug nut wheels and he wants to put wheels with 5 lug nuts on. is there any way to make this happen or is he just straight out of luck?

anything is possible with enough money, but if he is trying to do rims on the cheap, it's not going to work

Yes it's posible. A lot of people do that here on PR and only cost like $200 at the machine shop!!

^ What he said. People do it all the time. What kind of car does your friend have, cause' usually cars from the same make have interchangeable hubs and knuckles. Another alternative is to get hubcentric wheel adapters. Expensive and not very safe but some people like to do things that way.

i guess i was asking more or less what the motivation was - did he end up with some free rims, and is trying to figure out how to mount them?

hes looking at them.. all four rims and new tires from a friend for 200 dollars. its a good deal for him, but his civic has a 4 bolt pattern, not 5. thats why i was asking.

If the rims are only $200 then I'm guessing they're ugly with retarded spec and weigh like 50lbs each... I would tell your friend to just save up and get the right wheels for his car.

depends on the bolt pattern for these 5 lug wheels. 4x100 EF, EG, EK civics can be converted to 5x114.3 using aftermarket kits or oem parts from a DC Integra type r. if these wheels are not 5x114.3, then he's out of luck. do a search on honda-tech.com.
