please post a pic....i searched 38 pages of different color tc rim thread and another DIY thread but i think no one has painted their tc rim to silver....i know it is silver but for me it is not hyper silver but aluminum......my car color is silver so i want them match....

anyone did this???? did u use duplicolor clearcoat after???

I don't think a single person has. I wouldn't think there would be much difference. But clearcoat will make it a bit shinier, i've painted 2 sets, and neither have clearcoat. And they won't come off with water, soap, etc.

I have graphite grey Duplicolor rim paint. I only used one coat of clear and it definitely needed 2. IMO. clearcoat makes a difference and it'll look good.

 

You might have a tough time trying to find someone that has done this cause I don't think anyone would go through all the trouble of prepping, etc just to paint the oem silver wheels another shade of silver.

But what do I know...
