i am interested in scoopin up new wheels for my scion tc. prolly some 17's cuz the past two sets of 18's are too damn heavy. the size requirements are 5x100 offset is 48 and the hub is 56.1. i know what everything is is and does but what does the 56.1 mean about the hub????? if you can help me out id appreciate it. i am just buyin some rota attacks in 17x7.5 in gold.

56.1mm is the inner hub diameter. This is extremely important because if you go with a larger inner hub diameter you will need hub centric rings that compensate for the size difference. Otherwise your steering wheel will tremble at 40+mph

Also look into getting 15mm spacers (hub centric ones like H&R for example) to make that high offset look more attractive.

^^ what he said. although, hub rings will not do any damage to ur car, as long as u get the correct size.
