Well, I need to buy new tires due to an unfortunate incident with a pothole. Im def. going with a 225/45/17 on the stock rims but Im not sure which tires to buy. These are my choices:

Falken Azenis ST115 $87/tire
Falken Ziex ZE-512 $92/tire
Falken GR Beta FK-451 $94/tire

All three are priced almost the same, but I dont know enough about the variations to decide which to choose from.

 

falken have some nice tires, depending on what size you like on the tires is what you should choose from, the rim also looks smaller when on a bigger tire, so its hard to say

 

512 is a killer all around tire. If your not a pure racer, want decent treadlife but still a great performing tire, the 512 is it man!

 

I'd also say 512 for you. If you were out here in Cali, GR Beta all the way. I love mine, but I seem to recall them having a N/A snow/ice rating. Great in the rain, though.

Smart choice. I have 'em and I love 'em. They are a great all-season performance tire.

 

I know it's not on your list but, Azenis 615!

 

I'd love to get the rt-615's but 1) they cost too much for me, and 2) looking at the thread, i doubt i could get throught this last 1 1/2 months of winter with those on. Granted, I will buy snow tires next year but the rt-615's look to aggressive for a daily driver.

I bought the 512's today! Should be at my house on Weds and have them on by Thurs. Ill let everyone know how they feel. (gonna try to take offramps and such a lil faster to try and get a feel) Thanks for the advice everyone.

www.discounttiredirect.com for $368 with free shipping. Got the 512's in a 225/45/17. Almost decided to get the same tire in the stock size because they were only $75 a tire in a 215/45/17, but I always wanted to upgrade the tires on the tC so I decided against that.

 

let every one know how they ride. that is a pretty good price for for tire's is that installed or do you have to still get them put on

 

Thats just for the tires. my cousin works at a Saturn dealership and he mounted/balanced them last night for only $20. I havent had a chance to really push the car yet since I havent driven much. I have a long drive home tonight so ill test them out.
