Default Good Deal, or No? Work Wheels

I have a friend from work that is willing to sell me his Work Emotion CR Kai's. They are gunmetal, and hes asking $1000 with tires. Two of the tires are new, two are old. Is it worth it...or should i try to talk him down a little?

They also don't have any scratches or anything, they're well taken care of. Oh and they are 17's, which is a plus for me I want to keep it lightweight.

As said in the post they are 17"s, but I am unsure of the offset. If they're not the offset im going for, I will just get spacers.

Thanx everybody, for your input.

$1000 for 17" used Work Emotion CR Kai is an okay price. especially with 2 worn tires. are these taken off a Subaru? I dont think its worth it unless the offset is good, or he can lower the price since you'll have to buy spacers.

my buddy got those same rims through a hookup, (19's though) for 4k. I'd say that for 17's it would probably normally cost 1800 -2k brank new with tires so i'd say you're getting a good deal! do it and get new tires. Just make sure that the lugnut configuration is correct for the tC

Ditch that idea, im going to get some ENKEI RPF1's. For the price, it sounds very reasonable...which is why i changed my mind. Only $900 for the set of Four RPF1's in 17x8 with 35 offset.

when i was thinking about work cr kai's, they were selling 18s for about $1300 shipped here through sponsored sellers so that's a decent price if you want 17s.

For what im going for... RPF1 > Emotion CR's. I want to do a little auto-x and drag so the lighter wheel is the better choice for me.

i think RPF1s look better than Emotions, although I think Work makes nicer high-end wheels. Enkei makes some really nice 3 piece wheels too.

see if this guy still has his 5x100 18x8 et35 RPF1s for sale. $1000 obo with tires. he's in Long Beach.

Already purchased, they should be shipping out tonight or tomorrow. They were $949 shipped. Now I just dont know if I want to wait to install them untill i get tires (which could be months) or install them with the stock tires, stretched, and get the milage out of them?

Opinions appreciated...
