So I've had my stockies painted for months now, and recently it's been bugging me that I don't have my tires hugging something legitimate... So I started looking...
I needed something orange, the illusive 5x100 fitment, something I can afford.

I knew what I actually wanted, but the initial price had me reasoning myself out of it. However, all my other options where unavailable in some way/shape/form. Buying a cheap set and powdercoating would be coming too close to my dream set for it to be a practical option.

I finally just came to a conclusion, I can't be picky and cheap. I went into work and during some down time, I called our consultant at Tire Rack and asked him about those wheels I had my heart set on - he cut me a deal. And I took it.

What's that Tire Rack, you're the only distributor of OZ in the country? You only have 2 in stock? I have to wait until when?!

Will be worth the wait, for sure... I'm just a bit sad..

Anyone else ever have to endure a wait for some wheels? I know I'm not the only one and 2 months may not be long for some people, but I'm an impatient guy when it comes to my car...

 

You know most people wait like 6 months for wheels to be made in Japan? It's not unusual at all.

Yeah, I know of people who have waited that long before. I couldn't do it O_o

But that feeling of "...my wheels are fake..." is setting in quickly. Haha.

No no. My stock ones - which I painted myself. I'm getting a little subconcious about them now several months later.

 

Stocks are way more respectable than a ripoff design. Whatre the O.Z.'s specs?

I agree. These O.Z.'s are 17x8. I think the offset is +38 but I honestly don't remember off the top of my head. They weigh 15.8lbs. 5x100 of course.

 

If you don't want to wait buy rpf1's...

 

my wheels took 3 months to be custom built in japan.

2 months isnt bad at all

 

They're already ordered, may as well wait. I don't like the look of the RPF1. Maybe that's just me.

 

nice wheels and at least yours was not delayed like mine were when they were being made in England took 4 months.
