Default how do i get that stupid tire pressure light to turn off..

first of i know where the reset switch is and that isn't the problem...

i recently started using bigger tires, as in 225s instead of 215s. the tire pressures for all 4 tires are right on, but the tire pressure light keeps coming back on, and everytimne i check the tire pressures, nothing changed.. do you guys think its because of the bigger tires?? and what can i do to make it stop coming back on?
its annoying me

You sure they didnt take the sensors out? did you watch them? Im not 100% that the '06 uses the sensors, but I believe it does...

no, they are INSIDE the rim. They attach to the valve stem. It looks like a plastic tumor...

know anyone that works at a tire shop? I would look in to making sure the '06's have sensors to begin with. If they do, take it to a trusted tire shop, and see if they are there. you're rolling on the same rims that came with your car right?

hey does anyone know if there's a way to just disable (turn off) the tire sensor light? I'm using different wheels (I have my stock wheels with the sensors in the garage), and I get annoyed at seeing that damn light on the dash.

he says he has an '06..

'06's don't have tire pressure sensors.... they are run off by ABS..

you need to reset the tire pressure system.. and reinitialize it... check your pressures.. and press and HOLD the reset button until the light blinks 3 times.

See, thats what I thought, but wasnt sure. I know my '05 doesnt have sensors, and I thought I heard the same for the '06. But I wasnt positive. SO yea, make sure you double check that the pressures are correct, and then press and HOLD the button.

Then how the heck does it light up? Take off the cluster part off and remove the little bulb.

they're not bulbs. leds. you can't just yank them. There is a section in the owners manual that will tell you how to reset the light.
