i have a 09 RS5.0 tC and it came with the 18' TRD black rims. So ive been looking on here and other places and im hearing that these rims cost alot of money. do any of you think its possible to sell them to get different rims and pocket some cash. Im in no rush to do so, i just had a lil idea come to mind.
Good or bad idea? Keep the TRD's or get rid of them?

 

yeah theyre worth a pretty penny bc its a RS item, but will u get that much for them? chances are no. But if u can get rid of them then go for it but jus dont expect much.

 

Didn't you already list these on ebay? I know someone did, wasn't sure if it was you, but I know the ending bid was like $600 and no where near the reserve. Because I was interested in getting them.

I like them I know there was someone that was selling them on here and wanted like $1400 for them. But like I said the auction on ebay only went for $600. So it's really up to you. There are alot of nice wheels out there.

 

Ya, don't expect most people to realize they're RS 5 wheels unless you're selling only to tC people - and even then.....

 

I just don't think many people will pay much for them knowing that for a couple hundred more they could have a nicer set of wheels like some volks.

ya that seems true man..And i was looking into a nice set of volks, they are such nice rims in my opinion.

 

^they are once I get my turbo I'm going start working on the exterior of my car. Starting with some Volks.

^True. I think im just going to stick with my TRD's and waste my money on some other crap for the tC. After looking some more, and thinking about it, i probably wont get what i should for the rims.

 

Prob not save your money. 1st thing first though swap out your tails for the 05-07 tails I think they'd look so much better on the RS5.

 

you'll get more for those wheels if you trade with someone who has wheels you want.

 

I find it funny that people want to sell the only part of the the RS 5 that is actually worth anything. So after you sell the rims you paid pretty much $2500 extra for trd springs and rear sway bar. You will never get that money back.

 

I didnt like them at first, so i painted them black and they look alot better now.

 

ahhhh, yet another RS owner who pays extra for parts only to end up selling them.
