So I was taking off my wheels in order to switch out for some stockies and next thing I notice the stud that is attached to the hub is stuck inside my lugnut.

So anyone have any clues on how to fix this? I am currently running with 4 lug nuts and am selling the car on saturday so help would be greatly appreciated!

 

i think you need to pull the remainder of the stud out, which is very difficult, and replace it with a new one.

 

are you trying to extract the broken part from the lug nut or the base out of the hub?

get to the hub and hammer out the stud it's an easy fix

 

Yeah, just get the broken stud out and replace it.

 

something like this, I have to remove the brake assembly and hammer a new stud on?

 

for the rear i took off the rotor and used a sledge hammer to tap out the studs.

 

O/T: I didn't know you were selling your car, I thought you were just parting out

 

Use a tq wrench every time when you tighten them and this is much less likely to happen ;)

Knock the old stud out, buy a replacement and a new lug nut.

 

Yup getting rid of it, so tired of stuff just not working out the way I planned it, bigger and better coming up DEFINITELY :D

take the rotor off dont need a sledge hammer just use a rag hammed hit the stud it will shoot out the back side of the hub ull ned a air compressor to put the new stud in

 

+1 What he said, its very easy. Also another tip you need to put a lot of washer or and a nut. Because you have to drive in the new stud into the hub before you put the wheel on

yeaaa im a noob...i have also snapped my stud...anyone have a DIY of how to fix it?!?!?
