Default Matching wilwood rotors

alright guys i need some help.
i currently have a set of wilwood calipers but no rotors and i contacted wilwood and they want almost a grand for rotors so i said F that theres gotta be a different route to go

heres the specs for the rotors and hats

Rotors:

Left Hand - Part No: 160-6834 Right Hand - Part No: 160-6833 Type: GT 48 Curved Vane Style: GT Slotted Surface Finish: Plain Material: Iron Outside Diameter (In.): 12.88 Width (In.): 1.1 Vane Count: 48 CV Design Type: GT Bedded: No Dynamically Balanced: Yes

THE HAT SPECS:

Hat - Part No: 170-9011 Type: Big Brake - Short Offset Material: Aluminum Finish Color: Black E-Coat Hat Offset Dimension (In.): 0.71 Bolt Circle 1: 5 x 3.93 Bolt Circle 2:
Bolt Circle 3:
Stud Diameter - BC 1: 0.52 Stud Diameter - BC 2: 0 Stud Diameter - BC 3: 0

now im guessing there has to be a company out there that makes this size rotors and hat and i dont even care if its a single piece and not the two piece design.

wilwood is the only place that would sell rotors and hats with those exact dimensions. However if you want to use a 1 piece rotor try the rotors from a 2004 subaru wrx sti. they are 12.835" dia with a total offset of 1.811" compared to the wilwood rotors at 12.88" with total offset of 1.81"

Do you also have the caliper adapters to fit them on your tc?

I thought you could keep the hats you have now and just replace the disc? If so they are like 150 from jegs and 160 from summit

ok ill look at the STI rotors are you sure the width of them is close enough because it calls for a 1.1 width and i havent looked to see the width of a STI rotor. as for the brackets i do not have them yet but i contacted wilwood on getting the bracket because i dont think ill be able to get that part anywhere else besides them

as for HIX comment i dont get what you mean by it fitting on our hats because our rotors are a 1 piece design and not a 2 therefore i dont think we would have hat but correct me if im wrong

the sti rotors are 2mm wider or in inches they are 1.18 it should be close enough, if not you can just have them shaved down to the 1.1 inch that the wilwood caliper calls for. Oh and with the sti rotor you would need a 1mm shim washer to center the caliper perfectly on the rotor. not a big deal at all, they are a pretty inexpensive solution with the cheapest being about 200 for a set.

There is also rotors for the bmw e46 ms that would be pretty close same rotor width as the wilwood, you could also try the stoptech 2 piece rotors for their big brake kit they are pretty close as well. it all depends on how much you want to spend. anything 2 piece will be a min of 700 up front. you can get the bmw rotors in a 2 piece for about 450. let me know what you are trying to spend that will determine your options.

well ive got 200 in the calipers and pads plus i got to get the mounting hardware for the calipers to bolt up and im not sure how much thatll cost or what my options are there for that

i was hoping to keep the kit all completed for around 600 but i will move around on that.
i really dont wanna spend more then 500 on rotors.

So if you want to stay under 500 the sti rotors are gonna be your best bet. you can get them from stoptech plain for 240, slotted 310, brembo slotted are 330, cross drilled 345.

of course the one thing to keep in mind if you can swing the money for the 2 piece rotors now then if you have to replace the rotors they are the same price as any of the 1 piece rotors, also if you plan to do any track racing the 2 piece would be better.

Oh yeah if you do go with the one piece sti rotors i can send you some hub rings to center the disk on the tc hub.

yeah i wont be tracking it though
can you send me some links so i know what the hell im looking at here for both 1 piece and 2 piece so i have all my options.
and what you mean send me the rings like you have the rings or a link to the ring and what exactly is it thats needed to center them

here are a bunch of sti rotors

http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resul...4&autoModClar=

if you end up going 2 piece you might as well just go with the wilwood,

for the rotor rings I am making brackets to fit porsche 911 brembo calipers on the tc using the sti rotors so i have been making the correct size rings to use the sti rotor on the tc.

alright cool deal and ill prob just pick a set of like rotors that are about 150 bucks each so ill have 300 in them and try them out and see how i like it before i go and spend 700 bucks on rotors.
i need to get wilwood to quote me the price for all the mouting hardware though but they are being super stubborn

as for your rings send me a PM with a cost and so i can get 2 of those form you since im only doing my fronts and not rears.

would slotted or drilled be better?seems like most are slotted

slotted vs drilled there is always a debate on which is better. since you are not tracking the car, it wont really matter except for pad wear rate, which i would say slotted will wear out the rotors faster. Drilled will be a little lighter, and since brembo makes either its pretty much personal preference. I myself like the drilled look.

PM sent as well.
