Default Motegi Track or 5Zigen FN01R-C

Well I'm trying to find a happy medium for performance and show. I pretty much set on a set of 5Zigen 18x8.5 black w/ polished lip (+48 offset). If I do that I'm going to throw a 245/35 tire on them. Now I've been thinking lately about something very light but it would sacrifice a lot fo the look (18's) and a little bit of the width. Now the track lights are advertized with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern on their site but tire rack has them advertized to fit our cars with a 5x100. So what do you guys think. Thanks

get what you want. FN01R-C's while still being light.

it's the forged version more $, but same look with alot of weight shaved off.

Either one will look good. Just remember; +48 offset will look 'sunk in' like the stock wheels. If the Motegi's come in a +35 or +38 offset, they will look more 'flush' with the car. (It will look better IMHO) Plus, if you get that Gunmetal color, those will look very nice on a BSP! I have 5Zigens (which I just found out have been discontinued) with a +35 offset and they look killer. Good luck!

because the wheels are 8.5" wide, even with +48mm offset, it'll still look pretty flush in the front, and only a little sunk in in the rear.

Even with a +48 he's probably going to need spacers for the rear. (If he wants a more 'flushed' appearance all the way around.)
I was just tryin' to save him some $ chedda $.

It will rub with any less of an offset, with a spacer it will hit for sure. At least this is what I've learned from those who have tried and failed with wide rims and small offsets. This is assuming I run the 245 wide tire. Now with a narrower tire I can bump it out.

go with the traklites, they come in 17x8 with a +45 offset which is perfect for a 245/40 tire.

they are hella light, and they look pretty good to. also, they are forged, and for about 280-300 a wheel, its pretty cheap.

the only problem that i see with the motegis, and what deferred me from getting them is that they are made in china.

Yah... They're nice that's why I'm thinking this one over twice. Now help me out, what's with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern? I'm used to seeing 5x100. Otherwise I'd love to get these in gloss black w/ polished lip:

I don't know what it is about the polished lip and my taste but I like them.

I definitely want to run a 245 tire. Probably going to go 5Zigen in 18x8.5 black w/ polished lip. If I go 17's I'll go with their Proracer GN+ in 17x8.5 bronze.
