Default NANKANG NS-1

Anyone have experience with NANKANG NS-1 Tires?

Pros/Cons....

Do they have to be mounted a certain way for tread pattern?

i have the ns-2 tires , yes they are directional tires there will be a rotation arrow or pointer on the sidewall to let you know what the rotation is but as for the grip and handling i think there great they do great in heavy rain. not reccomended for the snow but i like to take corners and drive windy roads a lot and ive never had and complaints there great priced too they have good treadwear ratings too so i say go get em especially if your on a budget but want the same performance as a really good tire.

good tire for maximum treadwear. they will last you a long time. poor tire for performance. the rubber is hard and doesnt grip.

i've had 2 sets. i went canyon running several times with my first set. all the hard corning created cracks/splits in the sidewall, because the rubber was so hard. i drove like a grandma on my second set and they lasted a long time.

I have the NS 2's, they are a nice wet handling tire, they have a 340 tread wear rating,

NS-II is designed to meet the needs of consumers. High performance of gripping and stability, comfort and quiet.

Two center circumferential grooves design can efficiently direct water away and enhance superior wet handling.
Computer-designed v-shaped drainage sub-grooves increase resistance to hydroplaning in high speed running on deep water.
Two-in-one pitches and variable-width tread design help to reduce pattern noise and promote a quieter comfort ride.
Shoulder edge sipes design promotes even and long treadwear.
