Need Center Cap Help!!
Ok here is the problem. I have 18x8.5 Konig Imagines, and I recently lost a center cap. I went to the Konig website and ordered a new center cap - $30. I went to autozone to try and find the little allen wrench to tighten the center caps on, but they didnt have it. When I went to Big-O-Tire the next day to get a wheel alignment, they said the center caps just pop in and pop out. They said they would get them in real good so that I wouldn't lose another. They pounded them on with a little rubber mallet, and then I checked them and were all the way in, but they could still spin around? After driving a couple hundred miles (road trip to CA), I stop to get gas and notice that I lost ANOTHER one. Does anyone have any idea on how to tighten them on? or even how to remove them. And they DO NOT just pop right out. One more question, could I buy another center cap = i.e. a different Konig center cap or like the stock scion center caps and put them in there instead? I don't want to end up spending $60+ on center caps. Please help me!!
don't worry bro. I have the same problem. i need center caps on my 18'' Katana VR6 and i couldn't find it anywhere. especially now that those rims are discontinued (i think)! google couldn't help either. im trying to ask anybody if they know a site that sells center caps.
I would go to Katana's website directly. I bought one already from Konig's website, but then right after I got it in the mail, I lost another one...Try Katana's website though
Center caps are usually pop-in... the little allen wrench bolts are just for show..
If they're spinning around, it's not tight. Maybe wrap some teflon tape around the prongs?
