Default need help!

This is my first post. I havent needed to post because I usually find what im looking for with out it. Im having a little trouble with this one. I have 17x7 inch rims with a 38 offset. Now i want to run a 235-40-17 tires, but im afraid it will rub. My car is lowered on stechs. Is 235 to wide? Thanks in advance.

235 is stretching it. I think it will be too wide for the wheels. If they're 17x7 rims, you should be running 215 or 225/45... 40's will make your speedometer read fast.

215 is stock size. 225 is larger.... perfect size for 17x7.5 wheels. it will still fit 17x7 though.
