What tire do you think is better?

Toyo proxes T1R

or

Toyo Proxes 4

Please give opinions...past experiences...anything would be appreciated...thanks!

I'm going to be buying tires soon..just wanna know which would be the better investment.

 

Havent used either.. but have heard some say the T1R is fairly crappy, especially for the price. I would go with the Proxes based upon what I have heard and read.

 

i dont really know about the T1R but i have the Proxes 4s and they're awesome...extremely quiet compared to the stock potenzas and they handle great in dry and wet conditions

 

I had the Proxes 4s and they lasted much longer than the stock tires and handled much better, especially in wet weather. I was very pleased with them. I put a total of about 25k miles on them, before I sold my tC, and they still had some tread life in them left, and I drove pretty hard.

 

I have had both, different sizes but I have had both. The T-1R is overpriced. There are other tires with better grip for the money. I think it is inferior to the T-1S that it replaced. It isn't a bad tire, just overpriced. Now the Proxes 4 is an awesome tire for what you get. Decent price, quiet, 300 treadwear and a 4 season tire. I would say go with the Proxes 4
